Toss the Egg!
Okay. So here's the reason why people still pay to get pedicures and foot spa thinggies in spite of the recession: when you do it yourself, there's a chance you'll screw it up.
I was home, alone, and car-less all day today so (naturally) I spent most of it being a couch potato: watching DVDs and chatting with Lynch (who's supposed to be working but what her bosses don't know won't hurt them). While watching TV, I decided to attack the callus on my heel. I steadily rubbed at it with the PedEgg that someone gave my Mom for Christmas until it was smooth as a baby's bum and then I slathered it with Loopy Leprechaun lotion (Bailey's scented lotion - yum!). I was pretty pleased with the result so I proceeded to apply some nail polish. When the DVD ended I got up to put a new DVD in the machine and to my dismay, I felt pain as soon as I put my weight on my (newly scrubbed and smooth) heel. It turns out that I rubbed my heel a little too much that the skin is now very sensitive. I spent the rest of the day hopping around on one foot like an idiot. Moral of the story: save up for a professional foot scrub, and chuck the PedEgg out the window!
